Nathan Brusich, Psy.D.
Dr. Nathan Brusich is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy. He grew up in western North Dakota and graduated from Dickinson State University. He obtained his doctoral degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and completed a year-long pre-doctoral internship at the Robert J. Murney Clinic in Springfield, Missouri. His formal training finished with a post-doctoral fellowship at Tulsa Family Development Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He provided therapy and assessment services in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 2014 to 2026.
Drawing on psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and relational approaches, he works with clients to understand how past experiences may shape their present-day emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, his work aims to address underlying psychological patterns that contribute to ongoing difficulties with an emphasis on insight, self-reflection, and the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for growth and healing. Additionally, Dr. Brusich pays close attention to recurring emotional themes and relationship patterns that may contribute to current challenges. Through careful exploration of these dynamics, clients can develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Areas of focus include anxiety and stress-related concerns, depression, relationship and attachment difficulties, trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and personality challenges.
In his spare time, he roots for North Dakota State University's football team and enjoys cooking.
